Beverly Haines

Beverly Haines

Based in beautiful North Yorkshire Beverley combines a freelance Art career with charity work in the field of mental health.

Her days are spent sketching and painting what inspires her from life . She has a love of fluid drawing and mark making to represent impressions of the natural world around her. She incorporates texture and colour through the use of ink based products like Derwent’s vibrant ‘Inktense’ range of pastels and pencils which she also uses to make innovative monoprints on both paper and fabric.

Beverley accepts commissions for illustration and has completed five children’s books to date. Her loose pen and ink style combined with pastel and ink effects produces lively representations which are highly popular for book illustration as well as fine art.

She regularly works with ‘Derwent Pencils’ at various events and fayres around the UK and this year will be accompanying them to Patchings Art Fayre in Nottingham where she will be demonstrating the versatility of Derwent’s new Inktense Paint Pan Travel Set for sketching and journaling. She will also be demonstrating the Inktense range with ‘The Art Shop Skipton’ at Art in the Pen Skipton in August 2018.
