Julia Woning graduated from the Willem de Kooning academy in Rotterdam in 1994 and has since then worked as an illustrator, portraitist, artist, art teacher and author of several colouring books for adults as well of Dutch instructional drawing technique books published by Mus Creatief.
Julia likes to share her knowledge of various colouring materials, and styles in her books, during demonstrations or workshops. She is the Derwent Brand ambassador for the Benelux.
Julia loves to combine the Derwent Pastel Pencils with PanPastel to create beautiful artwork as well use the Derwent materials in her Art Journals. Her new book Art Journal by Julia Woning will be released in July 2020.
She regularly demonstrates Derwent Pencils and paint pan sets at various events, fayres and in Art shops around the Netherlands and Belgium. During covid she demonstrates the versatility of Derwent’s materials in LIVE online workshops for colour.workshop and on The Art Of Wellness group from Derwent on Facebook. Also Julia writes articles for the Derwent Blog.
