Charlotte Hannaford

Charlotte Hannaford, 22, from Cambridgeshire, is an artist who specialises in sketching and painting wildlife. Her passion for art started from a very young age, as early as she can remember (if drawing on her mum's walls count).

During her early life, she experimented with a variety of styles and mediums hoping to find what represented herself the best, and that was when she found wildlife. Although at the time it was mainly horses, she very much connected with the strong portrayal of emotions she could get through from her mind and onto the canvas; something that she struggled with when it came to words. She took this identity and made it her work and against the advice of teachers, at 14 years old, with a sense of purpose, she decided to start selling her artwork.

The paintings that she was selling weren't just oil on paper, they were part of her and that was and is, in Charlottes own words, “complex, irregular, and invaluable”. She continued this pattern throughout her time at A-levels and University, with a head full of dreams of what she strived for from the age of 14 and what she still strives for to this day.
